What I Wore: Apricity - January Dress

6.06.2015

Ahhh have I mentioned how much I love Fleet Collection? Well thanks to a slow and steady flow of sales they've had over the last year I now nearly own their entire collection... Okay that may be a bit of a stretch but I do have at least a dozen or so of their dresses. The last 11 (5 I bought for Chloie) only cost me about a total of $60!!!!!! Talk about killer sale! Two of them cost a whopping $2 each! Unfortunately, I'm sad to say they have since closed their shop. It's not all bad news though, one of the owners, Eileen, has recently opened a new shop Apricity! Much like Fleet Collection, her style is vintage with a modern twist.

The dress above is her January dress in Seafoam. I'm surprised to say I own no other dress in this color. I was a bit worried it would clash with my porcelain skin but I think it somehow works nicely. If you've ever followed Fleet Collection or owned any of their other pieces this dress is a lot like their Holly Golightly dress. It's fabric is exactly the same, with a nice weight and stretch to it. What I love in particular about this dress is it's soooo comfortable and soft! So comfortable you could sleep in it! Plus it has pockets and who doesn't love a dress with pockets?

Eileen's current line is small but beautiful. She recently put out a new style similar to this one but in the most beautiful shade of green called Solstice. When my wallet allows I may have to snatch it up! My most favorite dress is her Sunday dress. I hope to see many more in that same cut. This dress is simply a dream. I'll be sharing picts soon!

What I Wore:
Headband: ModCloth
Glasses: Bonlook
Cardigan: Barracuda Bazaar
Dress: Apricity c/o
Shoes: Rue21

Take Care & Enjoy,
♥ Heather Gwinn

    1. Thanks Jessica! Being a redhead has certainly opened up a world of color that didn't flatter me as much before. I really wish I owned more greens. Blues dominate my wardrobe, it's a shame their aren't more green dresses.

  4. That dress looks just darling on you! I love the bow, and there really isn't anything better than a dress with pockets. :) I'm definitely going to have to check out Apricity.

And your headband is just too cute - this whole outfit is just too cute! Love it!
