Friday Favorites: 3 - Valentine's Day Outfit (Planning Ahead)

1.30.2015

1 * 2 * 3 * 4 * 5

I've been eying this dress since it came out and although I have yet to get it cause of it's price (I can sometimes be frugal...sometimes...) it's one I'd love to snag up on the next coming sale. This would make such an adorable Valentine's Day Dress. It's fun and flirty and not your typical red colored dress that will be worn by everyone else. Although, I do think this would look fantastic with a red cardigan but since I already have it in red I thought I'd share this pink one instead. The shoes and belt finish this look perfectly. I love a good wedge and these appear to have a nice rating too. It's still a bit early I suppose to be talking about Valentine's Day but then again if you're ordering your outfit, it's probably a good idea to start planning that now.

Can anyone else hardly believe this month is about over?! I feel in some ways that I'm still recovering and playing catchup from the holidays even though January is about finished. Geez! Hopefully the rest of the year won't be as fast.

More to come!

Take Care & Enjoy,
♥ Heather

I love home decorating. The planning, the shopping, the crafting, all of it!  It's something I've always loved to do but this past year has been a tough year on our finances and so I put that aside. Slowly things are getting better and going back to normal. 2 years ago we were blessed and moved from a 1300 sq foot home to a 3000 sq foot home and since then it's been pretty bare. With the weather bitterly cold outside I've been busy crafting away with things to keep me busy. I love all the geometric shapes that are trending right now. I was never into the chevron pattern though. Above is my current loves and inspirations. My home is a burst of color that circles greens, blues, grays, whites, and I'm working on introducing bits of yellow. I used to be really into a Tim Burton meets Alice in wonderland like theme and although it will always be a nice memory, I've moved onto a more vintage mid century like style.

Goals for the winter:
-Make new throw pillows
-Finish my granny square throw blanket
-Paint an old corner shelf I've had FOVEVER!
-Make dog bed

Decorate the home some more!

I'm sure this list will grow. It always does and changes all the time. I fear I am overly inspired and take on too many projects at once. LOL! Do you have any projects you are working on? I'd love for you to share. Do you live in the springs, if so lets meet up and get crafty!

Take Care & Enjoy,
Heather ♥

1. Hand Painted  Espresso cups. Aren't these cups just too cute? We are huge coffee drinkers in this house and it seems there has been a shortage of coffee cups lately. I suspect Jed or Chloie is to blame but I have yet to prove it.

2. I've been eying their clothes for a while. I love their style.

3. Day Off the Grid Dress in Bright Floral - by ModCloth (Click for direct link)

4. Greet Your Day Socks in Cream - by ModCloth - I've been obsessed with over the knee socks lately! It's a nice change from tights all the time.

5. Charter School Cardigan in Peacock - by ModCloth - If you don't own one of their cardigans, give them a try! I own 5-6 of them. They complete any outfit so nicely.

6. Leaf for the Day Belt in Black - by ModCloth - I love elastic belts. They are so much more comfortable to wear. This particular belt also comes in brown, navy, and red.

7. Script Read-Through Flat - by ModCloth - These are so cute! ModCloth carries sever different styles and colors.

8. White Rabbit Ring - Their rings are so unique. The rabbit was definitely my favorite but all their jewelry is great. The snow fox was a close second.

9. Recently I've been adding a lot of white accents to brighten up my home. I love that this not only adds that white elements I want but a splash of green my most favorite color. (plant not included)

10. I love adding unusual vintage elements to my home. Not only is blue an accent in my home but I simply love the mod style it has.
